Paisley Tree Press

Happy New Year to all my blog readers.  I wanted to share my most recent collaboration with you.  It’s a benefit calendar to help the city of Amsterdam, New York.  As many of you may or may not know. I grew up in Gloversville, New York.  About 20 minutes from Amsterdam.  I lived in Amsterdam for several years and still have many family members who live there.  So needless to say, I love this city!  I was shocked when I saw the flood damage first hand and wanted to do something to help out….and here it is.  It took several months, but I am glad to say that the calendar is finally finished and ready to adorn your wall.  This calendar is a photographic collaboration of several Urban Decay images of Amsterdam.  All of the proceeds of this calendar will be donated to the Montgomery Chamber 2011 flood relief fund and the Amsterdam Urban Renewal Agency.  Please take a look and think about others that are less fortunate than you are.  Things can always be worse.  It feels awesome to give!  Start the New Year off right and buy this calendar HERE!!!amsterdam-11

…sorry for the light posting the past couple weeks.  I’ve been very busy with press work, selling my house and preparing for the National Stationery Show!  Yikes I am so busy I’m losing it :)  I wanted to share a client designed invitation suite that I finished recently.  Isn’t it sweet?  What would you design for your wedding invitations?

erin didn’t grow up in a huge metropolis, but living just outside of a large city in upstate new york is enough to label her a city girl.  jason grew up in one of the largest agricultural districts in new york.  from different backgrounds, they both saw something in each other that would link the two of them together.  when things got serious between them, erin found the idea of living in a small town so appealing.  when they decided to get married, they knew it would be a fun and casual event filled with lots of country charm and whimsy.  dreaming of a wedding in a barn, they kept having a hard time finding a barn large enough to accommodate their gigantic guest list….  so they looked outside of new york and fell in love with a country manor in the middle of the berkshires.  they were very excited about the wedding turning into a destination event, and yet it was close enough to new york that all of their guests could attend.

guests left messages on pear themed memory cards that coordinated with the wedding invitations.  erin had custom pear candles made for each guest that also served as escort cards.

cake-and-photos

the wedding cake was made by erin’s aunt beverly.  erin printed and constructed vellum photo frames so that the candlelight could glow through the pictures.  each photo represented a special moment the bride and groom shared with their friends and family.

thank you very much erin and jason for sharing your wedding with us.  a special thanks to Lu from Wedding Combo and Charise Isis for taking such great wedding photos.
